Tradition and history has made the Salt Lake Tennis and Health club an important part of the local and national tennis community since 1912. You can feel that tradition of tennis excellence, family togetherness and pride as you walk the halls of this club or speak to any of it’s long standing members. Generations of families have grown up here, learning how to swim, play tennis, and compete on the highest level with family and friends. Our swimming team and tennis programs have been second to none for many years.

We are now improving on that tradition of family health with huge, exiting expansions and improvements for the Salt Lake Tennis and Health Club. A new, state of the art, fitness club has been built to provide our members with whole body fitness options along with our award winning swimming and tennis programs. New fitness classes including: GPP training, TRX, HIIT training, Yoga, spinning classes, Pilates, weight training and more. Check out the group class schedule for a view of our many options that are designed to fit your every need.

Along with the new fitness facilities there are many other improvements to the club and plans for more. All of our indoor and outdoor, tennis courts have been re-surfaced and improved. Improved LED lighting on our indoor courts provides a much better playing experience. Our Cafe has been re-modeled and is under new management. Future plans include: an enclosure over our pool so that it can be used year round, new men’s and women’s locker rooms with sauna and steam rooms, and a large hot tub by the pool.

Whether you are a casual tennis player, a fanatic weight lifter, want to shoot some hoops, work on your soccer game, or just want to hang out at our beautiful swimming pool with your kids, the Salt Lake Tennis and Health Club has it all. Come for a tour of the facility today!

A two day grand opening event marked the dedication of the Utah Tennis Hall of Fame, completion of the fitness facilities and the re-modeling of the Centre Court Cafe. Members and non-members enjoyed free tennis, swimming, fitness classes, refreshments and much more. Friday evening included free GPP classes and HIGH fitness classes for all and tennis fiends got to play in a Pro-Am tourney with our club pros. Saturday kicked off with a round robin mixed tennis social, more free fitness classes and refreshments supplied by the Centre Court Cafe. The grand finale drew many local tennis legends as the club owner – Laury Hammel – unveiled the Utah Tennis Hall of Fame, a tribute to Utah tennis players who have been named to this prestigious honor. Several of the inductees were in attendance and were very exited about the UTOF recognition and the dedication of the Salt Lake Tennis and Health club to honor their achievements.

New class alert: Vinyasa Yoga Thursdays at 9:00 with Parth Gandhi.
Parth has been practicing Yoga since he was a child. Growing up Hindu and Buddhist offered many opportunities to attend temple and worship through a physical Asana practice, as well as develop an intellectual and spiritual practice through Meditation. He came to Utah for graduate school in Neuropsychology and then lived in New York City. He returned to make Sugarhouse his home in 2006.
Parth is a seeker of Truth and Light and believes Yoga has the power to heal physical and emotional wounds. He practices daily and seeks to help people through a thoughtful and mindful practice that encourages emotional and physical exploration. He has a deep love and understanding of Anatomy and as a result of injuries, he learned about proper alignment of the physical body and developed a love for Ashtanga Yoga, which informs his teaching of Vinyasa.
