Prime-time Hours and Court Reservations

A change in prime-time tennis hours for fall/winter, and a new policy for court reservations.

New Prime-time Hours For Fall/Winter

Monday-Thursday 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Friday 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

New Court Reservation Policy in Effect

All court reservations must now be paid in advance. If anyone needs to cancel a reservation, it must be canceled a full 24 hours before the reservation time. If it is not canceled within the 24 hour period, the court fee will not be refunded.

This policy change is being initiated because we have had too many people reserve courts, not show up, and not pay for the court time. Those empty courts could be used by other persons or pros for lessons, so this will no longer be an option.

Labor Day Masters Tennis Tournament

Members please note: We are one of the few clubs facilitating the Junior Labor Day Masters Tournament this weekend. Parking might be limited so please plan accordingly. The front east side (closest to the front doors) of the parking lot is reserved for member parking. Court availability will be limited so please call the front desk ahead of time to reserve your court. Please do not leave valuables in your car! Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

You asked for it, you got it! UTR Doubles! USTA leagues don’t count during this time, so here’s a way you can improve your rating during this dead time! I’ve planned every Monday, 10 am, Salt Lake Tennis, Same-gender doubles. 10/26 – 12/14. Cost is $30 per team. If you need help finding a partner send me an email through UTR.

Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles

Mondays, 10 am to 11:30 am

Today we are offering match play for same-gender doubles. Monday, 10 am – 11:30 am You are GUARANTEED 1 match against opponents whose combined UTR are within 2.0 of your two combined UTR’s. (With doubles play, you add your UTR’s together). This creates level based match play! If you need help finding a partner, contact Jackie Parker, the tournament director. jackiesparker@gmail.com

You can partner up with anyone! THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS on UTR ratings. Just know that if you pick a partner with a HIGHER UTR, that your combined UTR ratings will put you against overall stronger players. If that’s what you are looking for…Go for it! Today, you will use regular add/in, add/out scoring. Then you will play the best 2/3 with a 3rd set tie break to ten points (win by two points) in place of the 3rd set. One player registers for both players.
