Georgy Batrakov (High-Performance Director) and Dantley Young (Academy Director) accompanied 42 players to the annual Intermountain Junior Championships in Las Vegas–a Level III! All of these young tennis players have worked hard with all our tennis professionals to improve their tennis skills, fitness, and mental toughness. We are very proud and appreciative of the monumental success that our juniors demonstrated in terms of results and personal progress. Interestingly enough our club owner Laury Hammel first participated in this annual junior tennis ritual as a 12-year-old 60 years ago.
Our young players produced some extraordinary results in Las Vegas and even more importantly every participating junior learned valuable lessons from their matches (in nearly every case our young players exhibited superior sportsmanship). At the Tennis Club, we know that the most important part of being a competitive tennis player is character development and personal growth.
We’d like to take this opportunity to compliment and congratulate Georgy for his extreme passion and drive to build these players over the years. He has been with SLTHC for 5 years now and the high-performance program is thriving under his leadership and superior instruction. Georgy’s focus, dedication and hard work to improve everyone’s game are evident and the results are evident (see below some highlights).
Dantley Young has also made an incredible impact on the programs and we’d like to extend the club’s appreciation. Proud to have you part of the team!
