Karl was the MVP at Lakewood High School (Southern CA) but threw away his racquets when he was cut from the BYU team! Karl moved into a home backed up to a park’s tennis court about 20 years ago and remembered his love for the game and returned with a “let’s make it fun” attitude. He started coaching high school teams in 2014 in Utah and Salt Lake County and received training from dozens of coaches throughout the Western states. That training was nothing compared to what he’s learned at the Salt Lake Tennis & Health Club. He’s won multiple tournaments as a 4.5 player and hovers between 4.5 to 5.0. Karl is a USPTA certified teaching professional.
Karl has an MBA in Technology Management and BA in retailing and marketing, owns a small technology business, and continues to actively compete in team and individual events at a local and national level. He’s playing the best tennis of his life at age 50+ and is pleasantly addicted to tennis and helping others enjoy the exercise, competition, and social engagement this crazy game offers.
